People living in shelters are in extreme danger. There is no fighting outside of the city. There is fighting going on in the towns and villages of the Popasna hromadas. The level of the Siverskyi Donets river has fallen as a result of the hot weather. Russia's losses in Luhansk Oblast are much higher than those of Ukranian. There is a background to this. On 6 June, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Ukrainian armed forces are not giving up their positions in Sievierodonetsk and that the war is still going on. The majority of Sievierodonetsk is held by Russian occupation forces. The Russian assault on Novookhtyrka and Voronove has been repulsed by the other side.
