The sale of the historic West Texas 6666 Ranch, which had a price tag of over $320 million, has been completed.
The 3-6's was founded in 1870 and covers multiple counties. The 6666's Ranch in Guthrie had 142,372 acres and was one of three divisions.

The ranch was founded in 1870 by Samuel Burnett, who went on to become an influential cattleman. He bought the 8 Ranch in Guthrie in 1900. He wanted to make the finest ranch house in West Texas.
He left a mark on Texas. He invited Roosevelt to a wolf hunt after meeting with him and other people. It was during that hunt that the area's name was changed.
The ranch was handed off to his oldest son in 1910. He passed away on June 27 1922.
The management of the 6666's Ranch was taken over by AnneMarion in 1980. She was remembered with a statue after her death.
AnneMarion was honored at the Ranching Heritage Center.
The National Golden Spur Award was given to her by the National Ranching Heritage Center.
