The host of Summer Game Fest warned fans to be careful with their expectations for the event. One of the biggest announcements of the show was a remake of The Last of Us that was leaked just before the show.

The Summer Game Fest introduced a couple of surprises for the upcoming big titles. Some of it was related to outer space.

A new Aliens game is coming next year

The quality of Alien and Aliens games varies somewhat. We don't know a lot about Aliens: Dark Descent. Frictional's Amnesia: The Dark Descent is not related to this. Tindalos Interactive describes the game as a squad-based action game where you control a group of Marines against an unknown enemy. The game will be released on current- and next- generation consoles and PC in 2023.

New gameplay from The Callisto Protocol

The Callisto Protocol is a survival horror game that was created by Striking Distance Studios, who worked on the original Dead Space. We were given a closer look at the game. There are goopy monsters, a plasma cutter-like weapon, and gruesome death animations for your character in the project. The game will be released on December 2nd.

A new level from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is months away from its October 28th release, and Summer Game Fest shows a full version of a level. In the video, players are shown boarding a ship to destroy a missile and survive a storm.

Classic platformer Flashback will get a sequel

30 years after it was released, flashback is getting a sequel. The sequel is being developed by Microids, and it will be released in the winter of 2022. We know that. To get a sense of the vibe, you can check out the short film above.

Fort Solis is Dead Space crossed with Moon

Troy Baker of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Roger Clark of Red Dead Redemption 2 are giving their voices to a new game. There is a fast-paced narrative game set on a remote Martian mining outpost, and it is described as a tight thriller by Baker. The trailer states that it will be released on the PC gaming platform, Steam.

Robot horror game Routine was delayed by a decade, but it’s back

In 2012 Routine promised a scary atmosphere on a spaceship populated by dangerousrobots. It was pushed back many times as a relatively inexperienced team tried to finish it. There is a new trailer that states that it will be coming to PC, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass.

Stormgate is a new RTS from a team of Blizzard veterans

The first title of Frost Giant Studios is a sci-fi-plus-demons real-time strategy game called Stormgate. Stormgate is supposed to stick to the formula. It is intended to be more accessible and use a free to play model. There is a trailer above.

The world ended in Highwater, and the weather looks nice

According to Keighley, Highwater is a game set in a world ravaged by extreme climate change. At Game Fest, we got a colorful yet melancholy trailer about characters navigating a flooded city called Alphaville, showing off some of the game's exploration and turn-based combat.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is coming October 7th

At Gamescom last year, Firaxis Games announced a release date for their game, and now we have an official release date. You can see some new footage from the game, which is set in the dark side of the Marvel Universe.

Naughty Dog is making a new multiplayer narrative game

A remake of The Last of Us Part I will be released on September 2nd for PS5 and a PC version is in the works. There is a new project that is said to be as big as its single-player titles and has a story that is very unique to the game. The Last of Us Part II was the beginning of the project. It was then expanded into its own game. A piece of concept art suggests that a post- apocalyptic San Francisco will feature a brand-new cast of characters. There will be more news coming next year.
