Less than a month after he lost his Bored Ape NFT, the actor has been able to get it back.

The project of a TV show created by Green was thrown into chaos because of the theft of the NFT.

A collector who goes by the names Mr Cheese and DarkWing87 bought the ape from Green for $200,000.

The actor's wallet is said to have been used to buy the ape back for $297,000.

Green fell for a common NFT scam in order to get back his original NFT.

It's worth pointing out that the embarrassing development is a symptom of a lot of other issues in the crypt. Green isn't the first to fall for an NFT scam, but not everyone has the money to get their money back.

Apenapping

At the NFT conference in May, Green said that he had spent the last several months developing and exploiting the intellectual property to make it into the star of the show.

Disaster hit.

He said that he was kidnapped days before his world debut.

We had many questions after the kidnapping. Green doesn't technically own the rights to the Bored Ape.

Green may have orchestrated the story to hype up his show.

The saga seems to have found a happy end.

The ape in question still has a "reported for suspicious activity" label on the mainstream NFT platform Open Sea, but Green confirmed to BuzzFeed on Thursday that the ape is finally home.

Green got his ape back.

Lawyers ponder whether stealing an NFT should give them legal rights to it.
