A guy trained an artificial intelligence using millions of 4chan posts, and then let it post directly to the cursed messageboard, as reported by VICE this week.
They were not old 4chan posts. The outlet reported that an artificial intelligence researcher used more than three million 4chan threads from the notorious "/pol/" section of the site. Kilcher said that building a model based on the worst of the internet's worst was an enlightening experience.
Kilcher said in a video that the model was good. It perfectly encapsulated the mix of offensiveness, nihilism, trolly, and deep distrust of any information that's on the internet.
The posts got a lot of attention even though they were outed as a bot posting from the island nation of Seychelles.
Anything goes as long as it's legal on 4chan. It's so bad that Kilcher gave a warning before explaining why his artificial intelligence is more honest than other networks.
In his explainer, he warned that the model was vile. If you went to the website directly and interacted with users, it would be the same.
