There were a lot of announcements from the Ghostbusters franchise yesterday, from toys to new movies. The original Ghostbusters film was released in theaters on June 8th. For a while it was just another anniversary, but now everything is a celebration. There are announcements.
The co-writers of Afterlife said an animated feature was in the works last night. It will be directed by Chris Prynoski from Titmouse Studios and will explore new characters and new storylines in the Ghostbusters universe. "This was a passion project of my father's and it's easy to understand why." Through animation, the world of the unknown can be explored.
The events of Afterlife will continue in another live-action movie. The codename of the firehouse is "Firehouse." The last time we saw the film, it was back in New York.
There are more than one experience. According to the previously teased Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, players will be able to play as a Ghostbuster, but also as a ghost. The Ghostbusters virtual reality academy was really cool. It appears to be a pop up virtual reality arcade that will be available in 400 locations around the world. There will be a virtual reality game on the PS4.
Ghostbusters is returning to comics with a limited edition series. The comic will be published by Dark Horse at the end of the year. There is a lot of Ghostbusters.
