The FBI didn't respond to a request for comment from Forbes, but they did confirm the search and arrest to several outlets.

Criminal charges are expected to be filed later on Thursday.

In June of last year, the Michigan Democratic Party shared a video of Kelley in which he appeared to cheer on rioters, though he has claimed he did not go inside.

A person for Kelley did not reply to a question from Forbes.
