Microsoft Edge will get a number of new features that prioritize cloud gaming integration and personalization for the blue browser. Microsoft is taking steps to improve the service on browsers by giving it more gaming-forward features, as it has been consistently growing and improving support for the service across multiple platforms.

A built-in efficiency mode that reduces browser resources when a game is launched is one of the new additions. The fidelity of games streamed over the cloud will be improved by Edge. There will be a built-in menu with browser-based games for Edge users.

This announcement doesn't sound very exciting, but it gets a little more interesting when you consider that Steam Deck users need to route through an instance of Microsoft Edge to access Xbox Game Pass The changes should help improve cloud gaming performance, but they feel more like changes to Microsoft's browser than anything else.
