You don't need an XBOX to play games.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to stream their games through the cloud using a dedicated app for smart TVs and monitors that will be released in 2022. Simply called the Xbox App, you will be able to install it on your phone or computer and play games without the need for a console or PC. Game Pass Ultimate has been available on mobile devices for a couple of years, but now you can enjoy these games on a big screen.
You have to control the games. In the same announcement, Microsoft stated that any current wireless Xbox controller will be compatible with the app. You can pair the controller with the TV after you launch the app and log into your Game Pass account.
It is good news for people who want to play the newest version of the game without paying a lot of money. A year ago, Microsoft worked with smart TV manufacturers. The Xbox app isn't the first of its kind and Microsoft is rumored to be working on an XBOX streaming stick.
Game Pass nets subscribers instant access to first-party Xbox games, which is more important than anything else. Microsoft's purchase of Activision will allow any new version of Call of Duty or any other game to be played on the new app.
If you have one, use it. You don't want to experience lag on the internet.
