The Xbox TV app will allow people to play games on their TVs without a game console. More than 100 games will be available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to play through the smart TVs and cloud. If you're not a Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, there's a chance you'll be able to stream the game for free.
The Xbox TV app will be available from the gaming hub of SAMSUNG on June 30th in 27 countries, and will be very similar to the one used by NETFLIX. If you log into the app with your Microsoft account, you will be able to stream games from the console directly in a browser.
The range of controllers for the Xbox app will be supported by Microsoft and SAMSUNG. You just connect a controller to the wireless network. Microsoft isn't bumping up its streaming resolution to 4K, so games will only be able to play at 60 frames per second.
It's not clear when the app will be available on other TVs or older models, but Microsoft has a partnership with SAMSUNG for the initial release of the XBOX app. The intent is to explore other TV partnerships as part of this next evolution in our vision, as we bring the Xbox App tosamsung smart TVs first
Similar marketing deals for Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Cloud gaming have been struck by other companies.

This app for the Xbox TV app can be used to plug into monitors or TVs and stream games. This puck-like hardware won't be coming soon, as the software maker revealed recently that it's reworked its game streaming device.
