The service has announced that it is adding a number of new features to stop you from disappearing inside its infinite feed of addictive short-form videos. A new tool will add a safeguard to existing daily limits by showing a reminder after using the app for a long time. If a teenager spends more than 100 minutes in the app in a single day, they will be forced to use the screen time limiting tool.

A new screen time dashboard is being added by TikTok. The amount of time the app has been opened, a breakdown of daytime and nighttime usage, and an overall counter for the amount of time spent in the app daily are included in the statistics.
