In the wake of the mass shootings in Uvalde, Texas, and Buffalo, New York, the House of Representatives voted to raise the age for buying semi-automatic weapons.
The vote was mostly along party lines, with two Democrats voting against the bill and 10 Republicans siding with the Democrats.

The age hike was part of a package of gun safety bills introduced by Rep. Jerry Nadler. There were 10 GOP members who voted to retain Title I.
