Emma Raducanu
Emma Raducanu lost in the second round of the French Open before playing at Nottingham

The injury that forced her to retire at theNottingham Open was a side strain and she will be fit for Wimbledon.

In her first grass-court match of the season, the US Open champion retired after seven games.

She won't be able to play in the event due to the injury.

The 19-year-old has been told to rest for a few days and is likely to play in the next week.

"It was disappointing to go out this week with a side injury and unfortunately I will no longer be able to play."

I'm looking forward to getting back on the match court soon.

The British number one said she had no idea if she would be able to play at Wimbledon after sustaining an injury to her left side.

It was the world number 11's third mid- match retirement since her US Open win, having also bowed out of matches in Guadalajara and Rome with injuries.
