If you're going to be charging your device while you play, you should use a magnetic charge. It's easy to pop the charging cable onto your Quest 2 with a satisfying snap, but it's also easy for the cable to be accidentally released if you accidentally grab it with a controller. We recommend them for use with the Meta's Quest family of devices.

It must support fast data transfer speeds as well as quick charging in order to work with a Quest or Quest 2. The Cafele is our top choice because it checks all the boxes.

Getting a better charge

You can choose between a two-pack or three-pack. The cables that connect to the tip are 6.6 feet long. The lights at the end of the cables show the connection status. The braided cables are strong and will last a long time. Since it's not a 90-degree cable connection, you need to affix it to your headset.

The cables support data transfer as well as charging via the QuickCharge 2.0 and 3.0 standards. You won't have to remove the magnetic tip if you want to connect your laptop to a PC.

This one-of-a-kind magnetic controller charging kit comes with a special pair of AA batteries that fit inside the Oculus Quest 2 controllers and are held in by a specially designed door. The included cables can be used to charge your device with a standard port. Since you won't have to remove the battery door again, you'll be able to charge your controllers more frequently.

You'll never have to remove the grips just to charge the controller because they're specially designed to keep that magnetic charging tip exposed. Since normal grips don't fit the controller, it's good.

Many users of the game want to use external batteries. They can be mounted to the back of your headset so you can keep playing while you charge. It won't have a lot of wiring in the way while it's plugged in because it's only a foot long. If bumped, it will detach and support 9V/2A.

You can use a battery pack to charge your device. If you mount a battery pack to your headset, you can walk around without interference. You can plug your headset into a wall outlet, which tethers you to the wall, but it is more convenient and portable. It is possible to attach a battery pack to the back of your device with this cable because it is only a foot long.

The braided cable has a circular design that makes it more flexible. It has an indicator to let you know that it is charging your device. The correct length to use with a battery pack is 3.3 feet.

Attach this cable to your headset and use it with a battery pack on your waist or pocket, you'll be less restricted. The cable doesn't have to point up, down, back, or forward because it's been designed in such a way. It can slide into the right angle for you.

Anker's Quest 2 charging dock

Since both controllers and the headset dock to charge with a magnetic charge, the Anker Charging dock is a good choice. It's not the same as other options on the list.

It's considerably more expensive than a simple cable, but that's because it's a much more sophisticated piece of electronics featuring overcharge, overcurrent, and overload protection for your headset and controllers.

It's possible to prolong battery life by shutting off charging when the batteries are full. It's easy to magnetic dock in your Quest 2'susb type-c port. Drop-and-go charging is possible with the new battery door that has POGO pins on it. It's not possible to use this solution while playing, but it is possible to use it to charge your device.

Stay charged

The best way to keep your headset charged at all times is to have a good magnetic charge. With a battery pack and a medium-sized magnetic cable, you can take advantage of standing or room-scale virtual reality experiences without having to worry about yanking the cord out.
