Baker Mayfield won't be attending the team's mandatory mini camp next week.

The team said that it was a mutual decision to part ways.

Cleveland has been without their starting quarterback since they traded him to the Houston Texans.

A torn labrum in his left shoulder was repaired by surgery in the off-season.

Cleveland has not been able to trade the former top pick. According to multiple sources, the ClevelandBrowns discussed a trade with the CarolinaPanthers but never got close to a deal. Matt Corral was drafted by the Carolinas.

The player is due to make almost 19 million dollars in guaranteed money. All players are required to attend the full-squad mini camp in order to participate in the summer program. If you don't attend without being excused, you'll be fined.

A number of women are accusing him of inappropriate sexual conduct during massage sessions. The NFL is looking into whether or not he violated the league's code of conduct after interviewing him in person last month. At the league's spring meeting, Roger Goodell said he thought the league was nearing the end of its investigation but couldn't give a timetable for when a ruling would be made. All wrongdoing has been denied by the man.

A backup quarterback was signed by the Browns earlier this year.

The Cleveland Indians did not make the playoffs.

Cleveland is holding a mini camp in June.
