The Utah Jazz have a vacant head coaching position and will interview several candidates.

The former Los Angeles Lakers coach and Jazz assistant will meet with Utah to find a new coach.

The Jazz received permission to interview assistant coaches Johnnie Bryant of the New York Knicks and Charles Lee of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Terry Stotts, the former head coach of the Portland Trail blazers, will speak with the Utah assistant.

Ryan Smith told reporters that the Jazz would take their time in finding a new head coach.

The Jazz head coach decided to step down.

He has been with the Jazz for three years. After two years in player development, he was promoted to an assistant coach.

Each of the past two seasons, the Jazz won the Northwest Division. They were the top seed in the Western Conference in 2020.
