  • The jury didn't believe Heard, according to the lawyer for the actor.

  • Benjamin Chew thinks it has a lot to do with accountability.

  • He said that Johnny had his issues.

Johnny Depp's lawyers went on the "Today" show to discuss their client's win over his ex wife.

The lawyers said thataccountability was the reason the jury didn't believe Heard.

It has a lot to do with accountability according to Chew. Johnny's issues were his. He spoke candidly about his drug and alcohol problems. He was candid about some of the text messages he wrote. It was a stark contrast to Ms. Heard, who seemed to the jury that she didn't take accountability for anything.

When Heard's accountability was questioned, one of the biggest moments was when the actress took the stand and said that in the 1990s she was pushed down a flight of stairs by her boyfriend, Johnny Depp.

Heard said she hit Depp in the face during a fight with him. I'm not waiting. I immediately thought of Kate Moss and the stairs.

Moss testified via video stream that he never pushed her down the stairs and that he came to help her after she fell.

Moss said that she screamed because she didn't know what had happened to her. He ran back to help me and took me to the hospital.

During their relationship, the model and the actor were at a resort in Jamaica.

She stated that Johnny left the room before she did. There had been a storm. I hurt my back sliding down the stairs after leaving the room.

After less than three days of deliberations, jurors decided that both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were responsible for defamation against each other. Heard was awarded $2 million in damages, though the original award was revised down to just over $10 million.

In response to an article she wrote for The Washington Post about her experience with domestic violence, Depp filed a defamation suit against her. The article was thought to be about him, even though his name was not mentioned.

According to the lawsuit, Heard fabricated an incident where she accused Depp of beating her and had, in fact, physically and mentally abused him.

Heard denied the claims and counterued for $100 million, saying that she was frequently beaten by her partner, often while drunk and high on drugs.
