According to new figures by the Women's Sport Trust, the viewing hours of women's Super League have increased by fourfold.
Fans watched 34.048 million hours in the season, up from 8.83 million hours in the previous season.
The rise in viewers of women's sport is due to this.
The games have been shown on TV for three years.
The WSL games are being shown live on Sky and the Beeb. A minimum of 18 of the 22 live matches will be shown on the public broadcasters' channels.
WST found that this resulted in an increase in coverage hours and viewers watching the league more than once.
Tammy Parlour said that the broadcast figures show the growing demand for women's sport.
The number of fans coming back on a regular basis to watch women's sport is an encouraging sign.
A fifth of viewers have watched women's sport on five or more occasions this year, compared to 9% in the same period in 2021.
Almost a third of the UK population watched women's sport in the first five months of the year, up from 8% last year.
