Benches clear in Mariners-Astros after Ty France is hit by a pitch (0:26)

Scott Servais leads his team onto the field as the bench clears in the ninth. There is a time and a place.

The Astros pitcher was suspended for four games for throwing behind the third baseman's head after both teams had been warned.

Baker and the Astros were fined an undisclosed amount for the actions of the pitcher.

In Seattle's 7-4 win at Houston's Minute Maid Park, the Astros and their coaches were fined for their actions in the melee in the top of the ninth.

Espada was in charge of the Astros as Baker was serving his suspension at the game. Neris is still active in the game despite his suspension.

In the ninth, Ty France was hit in the back by a pitch. Seattle's bench emptied to confront the Astros near home plate after players and coaches on both sides started yelling at each other.

"All I know is our best hitter is in there, it's two out in the ninth and you throw the first pitch behind him," he said. It's clear.

The Astros' first base coach, Lopez, was at the center of the pushing and shoving, with Servais pointing and shouting at him, as well as Baker, the Astros' manager.

Both benches were warned.

Rodriguez hit a home run and J.P. Crawford walked before the pitcher was thrown out by the umpire. Baker was thrown out due to the warning.

After the game, Baker denied that there was a plan to throw at France.

In a one-run game you're not going to put anyone on, nobody is throwing at him. We do not do that. I don't want to talk about it a lot more because I'm already upset about it.

France didn't think the one that hit him was intentional, and Neris denied that his pitches were on purpose.

France said that the timing wasn't right for it to be planned. I don't think it was, but I'm not sure if it was.
