England U21s 3-0 Albania U21s: Young Lions qualify for 2023 European Under-21 Championship

The English Under-21s qualified for the European Under-21 Championship by beating Albania.

The Young Lions took the lead after Emile Smith Rowe's low cross was converted into a goal by a player from the other team.

Charlie Cresswell set up the man for the goal.

He was sent off for two bookable offenses, the first of which saw him trip Gordon.

If England and the Czech Republic end on the same points, England would finish below the Czech Republic.

Lee Carsley's side have only dropped two points in eight matches and have two games to play. They beat the Czech Republic at home and away.

The European Championship will be held in Georgia and Georgia in June and July of 2023, with Belgium, Portugal and Spain also qualified.

It is the ninth time in a row that England have qualified for the tournament and they haven't won it since 1982.
