The next big Windows 11 update is due to be released today. A number of big changes to the operating system are expected to be included in Windows 11 22H2 in the coming months.

While you can wait for Microsoft to officially roll out the update through Windows Update, you can grab the final version through the Windows Insider option. You can sign up for the Windows Insider Program by following the instructions.

A new wallpaper spotlight feature in Windows 11 22H2 allows you to cycle through beautiful wallpaper on the lock screen. LiveCaptions are great for people who are hard of hearing, or for people who want to caption audio automatically. The caption can float in a window or be displayed at the top or bottom of a screen.

The Task Manager is getting a redesign in Windows 11 22H2 with a new dark mode. There is a new command bar that matches the dark theme and an efficiency mode that lets you limit the amount of resources you use. The update will allow you to drag an app to the top of a window and see all the layout you can use. Microsoft is working on improving its focus feature. It's easy to quickly silence notifications that are important to you.

Live Captions are a great new addition.

Windows 11 users will be happy to hear that drag and drop is coming back to the taskbar. The pinned section of the Start menu will be able to be changed into a neat selection of folders with the new Start menu folders.

Windows 11 22H2 will be released later this year, but the update is large enough to be installed early, especially for LiveCaptions.
