The Biden administration will have a daily press briefing on Tuesday with actor and gun policy advocate Matthew McConaughey.

His White-House appearance comes a day after he wrote an op-ed in The Austin American-Statesman calling for gun control.

In the wake of the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas, in which 19 children and two teachers were killed, the actor called on lawmakers to appreciate the difference between gun control and responsibility.

He believes that Americans have a right to bear arms and that we have an obligation to slow down the killing of children.

There is no constitutional obstacle to gun ownership. The best way to protect the Second Amendment is to keep firearms out of the hands of criminals. We can do both
