The far-right American Firearms Association is telling its supporters to prepare for a battle at the U.S. Capitol this week.
The subject line of the email was "They're coming after us right now."
The email states that the federal legislative team believes that there will be thousands or even tens of thousands of people in the Capitol complex because of the battle in DC.
It goes on to say that this is their Super Bowl. We should be looking at this battle in the same manner.

The AFA's warnings are similar to the statements made by Donald Trump in January of 2021, when he whipped up his supporters at a rally to storm the U.S. Capitol. There was a violent insurrection.
Trump told his supporters to march to the capitol that day. You will not have a country if you don't fight.
AFA's rhetoric doesn't match what senators are considering doing, which is very little in response to the ongoing epidemic of gun violence The bipartisan package currently being negotiated by senators, which could still fall apart, would include provisions to narrowly expand gun background checks, enhance school safety, and encourage states to implement red flag laws.
Measures to raise the age for buying assault rifles from 18 to 21 and to require gun owners to register homemade firearms through the federal background checks system are being considered by the House. None of the House proposals are expected to move in the Senate, so all eyes are on what meager legislation can be passed there.
The language in AFA's email wouldn't tell you anything.
The email says that the entire AFA staff is on red alert because of the gun-grabbers in Congress. We expect the left-wing actors who want to shut down our systems to do so.

She loves that men are scared of going on a toilet paper run without guns.
The AFA did not immediately respond to a request for comment on what it meant by its calls for battle, and whether it was concerned that its overheated rhetoric could cause some people to go to the Capitol to cause violence.
