There is an automatic transcription feature for teachers who sign up for the teaching and learning upgrade plan. The text-based documents should take up less space than a full recording and may make it easier to review, search through, and send lessons to students.

Polls and Q&A sessions are coming to teachers who use Meet to livestream their lessons. The features were already available in meetings.

Users will be able to livestream events directly to YouTube

The reach of Meet is being expanded as well, as it now allows schools to live stream events directly to the internet. One option for creating livestreams was given to users of the workspace. One gives users the ability to create live stream events for up to 100,000 people who are a part of the same workspace, while the other restricts the audience to 500 people. Since anyone can watch, this update should give more people the chance to watch.

There is a new Screencast app built into ChromeOS as part of the M 103 update. The screen-recording tool allows teachers to record, trim, and share on-screen lessons while giving students the chance to create their own videos with the screen- recording tool. Teachers can use Screencast to draw or write on the video if they use a Chromebooks with a touch screen. Users will soon be able to add alt-text to their images. It helps screen readers to know what's in their email.

The updates are in line with the larger efforts of the company to expand its foothold in education.
