Jamaican players
Jamaica failed to qualify for the World Cup finals later this year

The men's side refused to play until the general secretary resigned.

The players posted a statement detailing grievances and said they needed change.

The players said that travel back to Jamaica had not been arranged and that it was another example of incompetence.

They said in the statement that they were exhausted.

The second match of Jamaica's Concacaf Nations League campaign will be on Tuesday. The Reggae Boyz said that Suriname came to Jamaica before them.

The Jamaican Minister for sport Olivia Grange said the government intervened to prevent the team "being stranded in Suriname" and would now be requesting a "detailed report".

Grange said that her team would work with the JFF and the players to address other concerns.

The players alleged that the squad had not been paid for months, that Spartak Moscow forward Shamar Nicholson had failed to join up with the team, and that the team's hotel in Suriname had left them.

They said that they were stuck in Suriname and their flight arrangements were still being worked out. The Suriname national team will arrive in Jamaica before us.

This is an example of the incompetence displayed by the leaders of the JFF. When we're not successful, we get all the blame.

The JFF does not care about the players or the state of Jamaican football.

The players are calling for Wint to step down because they want better leadership. The players won't be representing the country until he does.

In a statement the JFF said Wint had given his "unequivocal and irreversible commitment to submit his resignation from the post".
