Deebo Samuel's and Jimmy Garoppolo's futures are expected to be decided by the 49ers. There is a time and a place for it.
According to a source, Samuel is expected to attend the team's mandatory mini camp, despite his request to be traded.
After publicly requesting a trade in April, Samuel missed the voluntary portion of San Francisco's summer program.
Samuel acknowledged that he informed the Niners of his desire to leave, but refused to give any specific reasons.
The 49ers have stated on numerous occasions that they do not plan to trade Samuel, and coach Kyle Shanahan said last month that he hoped the organization would get the best thing for the Niners.
Samuel requested a trade at a time when wide receiver salaries have gone up. The Raiders gave Davante Adams $28.6 million per season on an extension after trading for him, and the Dolphins gave Tyreek Hill $30 million per season after acquiring him from the Chiefs.
Both Buffalo's and Philadelphia's A.J. Brown received lucrative deals.
