Texas came back from five runs down to beat Oklahoma State and advance to the Women's College World Series Championship Series for the first time in program history.

This is the first time that an unseeded team has made the finals.

The Cowgirls scored five runs in the first three frames, but the no-hitter was broken up by a three-run home run by Day in the fourth.

Things went from bad to worse when the runner at third base was able to score when the right fielder made a mistake on the ball. After cutting off the throw, Busby tried to throw out the runner at second, but her throw sailed wide and went to the warning track.

Texas took the lead after scoring two more runs.

Two runs were Oklahoma State's largest blown lead. The Cowgirls scored five runs or more 29 times this year.

Oklahoma State coach Kenny Gajewski said it was difficult to watch as his team made three errors. We were trying to get the victory. We didn't play well.

The two errors in the fifth did not decide the game, but were indicative of a sloppy effort all day. The elimination game was forced by Oklahoma State's loss to Texas.

Texas needed to win two in a row.

Longhorns starting pitcher Czech Estelle said that no one thought they would be here.

Czech, who pitched a complete-game shutout earlier in the day to keep the season alive, didn't last long in the night game before being replaced.

After giving up two quick runs, Dolcini threw four shut outs down the stretch to get the victory.

"We were in a situation where we couldn't lose," he said. Nobody had us here or going to compete for a national title. We are playing for each other. The best part of this is that.

Texas coach Mike White admitted that he didn't think his team could go this far in the tournament a few weeks ago.

White said this is the best team he has had. It didn't feel that way at times. It's been one of the most difficult years I've had to coach. Our coaching staff is also credited. Things have been pulled together.

The Longhorns will play the Sooners in the best-of-three series.

The Longhorns handed the Sooners their first loss of the season in April, but they won the second one the next day.
