In the fourth game of the Western Conference Final, the Colorado Avs defeated the Eskimos 6-5 in overtime to sweep the series and advance to the Stanley Cup Final.

Colorado will face the winner of the Eastern Conference Final between the New York Rangers and theTampa Bay Lightning. The series is in New York's favor. It will be the first time in a long time that the Avs will play in the final round.

Two multi-goal leads were wasted in the fourth game of the series. The Avs were able to score three times in the third period to get back in the game. Arturri Lehkonen scored the game-winning goal in overtime to end the hopes of the Eskimos of a Cup Final appearance.

The first power play goal was scored by Colorado. Makar had five goals and one point in the first four games of the series.

The game went into the second half with the score unchanged. At that point, the Eskimos were being outshot 21-12, and Mike Smith was keeping them in the game.

During a strong push by theOilers in Colorado's end, they were finally able to get a goal fromZach Hyman.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins pounced on a Colorado turnover to score the first of the two goals for the Oilers.

Leon Draisaitl assisted on the goal even though he appeared to have an injury. He labored to the bench in pain after a hit late in the second period. Draisaitl stayed in the game and added a goal and an assist before leaving the game. He wasn't finished there.

Draisaitl gave another assist on Hyman's second goal in the third period, which gave the Eskimos a 3-1 lead, but that lead was short-lived as Toews scored 31 seconds later. Draisaitl fed Hyman to bring the lead back to two goals.

Colorado was down 4-2, but would come back. Smith's clearing attempt hit a referee and set up a goal by Gabriel Landeskog.

After another failed power play, Nathan MacKinnon jumped into the play and scored a goal to make it 4-4 with six minutes to play.

A power play goal by Mikko Rantanen gave Colorado a five point lead. The game-tying goal was set up by Draisaitl and McDavid. Both Draisaitl and McDavid scored four points.

He scored the game-winner in the extra period.

The team has played for the Cup two times, winning both series. They defeated the Florida panthers. They defeated the New JerseyDevils in 2001.
