The son of a Hall of Fame basketball player has the chance to play in the NBA.

After a previous list of withdrawals mistakenly included his name, the 22-year-old has been ruled eligible for the NBA draft.

The NBA teams are coming up, and O'Neal has scheduled workouts for them. In two games at the G League Elite Camp, he averaged eight points and six rebound.

O' Neal decided to leave LSU after two seasons. After decommitting from Arizona, he signed with the Tigers after transferring to them from UCLA.

O' Neal's college career was affected by injuries. He was a freshman when he had surgery for a heart problem. He averaged 2.2 points and 2.9 rebound in 13 games in 2019.

O' Neal's sophomore season was ruined by foot injuries after he joined LSU. He returned as a junior this January after taking a year off. He played in 14 games last year and played in 9.2 minutes a game.

It would be a surprise to see a team use a draft pick on O' Neal, despite his potential and strong family heritage. It is more likely that he will be invited to summer league in order to find a G League spot. He could get a two-way contract in the NBA if he keeps working and avoiding injuries.
