Oklahoma has shown that it can bounce back from a loss.

Every time the top-ranked Sooners have lost this season, they have gone on to beat their next opponent so thoroughly that the game has ended early.

After Oklahoma lost to UCLA in the semifinals of the Women's College World Series, there was a chance of an elimination game later in the day.

Less than three hours later, Alo hit a pair of home runs and the Sooners beat the Bruins 15-0 to advance to the finals.

The team's 40th run-rule win of the season was twice as many as the next closest team in Division I.

In the locker room after the loss, Alo said she saw no panic from her teammates and only positive vibes from the staff.

Alo said that Gasso wouldn't shout at them. I don't think that's important. The team simply needed to hit reset.

Alo said that he went into the game with all the confidence that he would walk out with the win. The Sooners don't beat anyone twice. I believe we just stuck to our game plan and focused on what we needed to do.

The winner of Oklahoma State and Texas will face off on Wednesday.

The Longhorns and Cowgirls beat the Sooners this season.

Oklahoma lost its first game of the season to Texas but rebounded with a victory over North Texas.

The Sooners bounced back from a loss to Oklahoma State by beating Prairie View A&M.

Gasso was surprised when she was told that her team had played three games in a row and won all of them.

She said that the team wanted to show Nicole May, who took the loss in the first game, that they had her.

No one can beat them back-to-back or twice, and they are very proud of that. They think that way. They came out here very calmly. The people were very confident.

Alo, who set the career home run record earlier this season, hit two more homers against UCLA. Her seven runs were the most in a single game of the tournament.

Alo helped drive in an eighth run when she had a single.

She got a lot of run support. The transfer from North Texas gave up two hits and six strikeouts in a complete game performance.

Gasso said the chance to see Trautwein step up -- and for freshman sensation Jordy Bahl to get 423 frames of work in the first game after missing time the past month with a forearm injury -- could be a silver lining.

It was a blessing for us to see Hope in that environment and to see our team pull up and say, 'We're not going home.' It was important against UCLA. It's very dangerous. They're great. It was well done. The pitchers are tough. Their hitters are difficult to beat. We have to be our best when we play in UCLA because they always make us better.

It's important that you play against them to bring out your best.
