Live Activities is a new iOS 16 feature meant to improve notifications

Changes to notifications will be the most significant update to the area since the release ofiOS 12. Automatic grouping of app notifications is getting even more organized with the new version of the app.

The lock screen has an update that makes it look like an Apple watch. The Lock Screen Notifications can be found on the bottom of the screen.

Live Activities allow notifications to be pinned on the Lock Screen. A new Now Playing Widget on the bottom can stay persistent, out of the way on the bottom and can be expanded.

The system of iPhone notifications has been very well managed. Apple is finally catching up toAndroid in having a way to manage notifications.
