A partnership with a high street department store chain has led to the opening of three concession outlets.

The online tour operator has a deal with a department store to open shops.

The first concession will open in July in Peterborough.

Half of the operator's sales are for its own packages and the other is product from third party operators.

The shops would be used as a distribution outlet according to Steve Bentzen.

He wants a retail presence. If we don't have a physical presence, we won't be doing the job justice.

The next phase of our development was slowed by Covid but we are so happy that it is now happening.

Bentzen said that a face-to-face experience would help the company deliver a high level of customer service.

He said that they try to give people a personal service and that they want to be known for that. People can come and see us even if they haven't booked online.

It is important to meet your clients and provide a friendly face to give them the confidence that they always have someone on hand to help. I think we are being judged on more than just price.

The company wants to have at least four employees per branch. Clients will be able to watch holiday videos while waiting to see a member of the staff at the concessions.

The windows at the stores will be used to promote holidays.
