Microsoft tests Windows 11 store that won’t update apps if you’re using them

Some updates to the Microsoft Store are being tested to see if they will improve how updates are handled. If you open the Microsoft Store and select update apps, you could lose your job. Microsoft is testing a change to the store that will not include updates for apps that are open.

It should be easier to find apps to download and install on Windows 11 with the store update. The Microsoft Store will be a lot faster on devices like the Surface Pro X because of the navigation improvements.

Microsoft's pop-up store support is going to be extended toAndroid apps. Windows 11 will show a pop-up store experience if you find an app in the Amazon Appstore on the internet.

All Windows 11 users should be able to get the latest Microsoft Store update over the coming months. A new restore feature is being tested by Microsoft that will allow Windows 11 users to quickly re- install apps on a new computer.
