Some viewers thought that the shape of the ice cream reminded them of when the Chinese Communist Party sent tanks and troops into Beijing to crack down on pro-democracy protesters.
The "Tank Man" photo, in which an unknown man stands in front of a column of tanks near Beijing's central Tiananmen Square, is one of the most famous images from the massacre.
Hundreds of deaths were caused by the student-led protests for democratization in China. The country's social media sites have blocks on the discussion of the massacre.
The Journal says that pictures of tanks are often removed from the internet around June 4.
A user on China's Weibo platform said that Li would likely be summoned by the authorities for interrogation and that he had gone too far.
