Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas is opening a resort in Thailand.

The last untouched island in Thailand is located in the middle of Phang Nga Bay. Traditional Thai culture, southern cuisine and beaches lined with coconut and palm trees can be enjoyed by guests on the island.

In addition to island hopping, snorkeling and diving in waters rich in coral and marine life, guests can observe the native hornbill birds, enjoy a tuk-tuk tour of the coconut and rubber plantations, and local fishing villages.

There is a tranquil space on the water's edge. One kilometer of white sandy beach is set against a backdrop of limestone formations that rise out of the waters of Phang Nga Bay, with two- and one-bedroom beachfront pool villas sitting right on the beach. There are spacious suites in four low-rise buildings that overlook a freeform swimming pool and start at 90 square metres. One of the eight Seaview Pool Penthouses has a glass bottom swimming pool. With stunning views of the surrounding islands, each penthouse has an outdoor entertainment area perfect for dining or private gatherings of family or friends.

In the Grand Seaview Family Suites, the youngest guests will find a playground with a slide and play area, as well as two-tiered bunk beds. The Lagoon Pool Villas are 170 square metres and come with a private plunge pool, wooden sundeck, outdoor dining area and a host of luxury amenities.

There will be an all day lobby restaurant and bar with an international menu that will evolve with the seasons and a pool bar. While away the hours with a chilled sundowner, there is a vibrant space with popsicles, sodas and pizza. The restaurants have access to daily fresh fruit, vegetables and spices.

A family pool with a kids-only splash area, a large indoor-outdoor kids' club, intimate meeting spaces, a state of the art fitness centre and a water sports centre will be included in the recreational facilities. There are also a hydro pool and hammam.

The announcement of this latest addition to our Thailand collection of resorts, developed in partnership with Soraya Development, shows a clear signal about our commitment to the industry. With Thailand and the rest of the world set for a rebound, destinations that combine seclusion, easy access to pristine nature and authentic local experiences are destined to benefit from a surge in demand.

The first Anantara in the Phang Nga Bay area is going to be a partnership with Minor Hotels. The project was made with passion. Since the beginning, I have considered each detail of the piece of work. We chose Anantara Hotels and Resorts due to its stellar reputation and experience as a five-star luxury global hotel brand, even though there was a lot of interest from experienced operators.

A combination of speedboat and car rides can take you to the nearest aviation hub. The resort will have a private jetty for guests to use.
