Stephen Curry, who said he lost sleep after the Warriors' Game 1 collapse, can toss and turn less when he goes to bed. Curry scored 29 points on 9-for-21 shooting from the field, 6-for-7 from the foul stripe, and 5-for-12 from behind the 3-point line, as the Warriors took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. While it wasn't his best game, Curry was able to get to the half court and score. The Warriors generally don't use pick-and-rolls, but he started an unusual number of them. Draymond Green kept the Warriors' dribble handoff game going. The Warriors scored 35 points in the third quarter, their best point differential in a Finals quarter in franchise history. Golden State did not squander it on Sunday like they did in the first game. The Celtics and Warriors are tied for the NBA title. The action can be seen on ABC and the app. The third game will be played on Wednesday at 9 p.m. At the end of the day.

It's possible that it's necessary.
Green said the Celtics' Game 1 exploits would be difficult to sustain. Whether it was a regression to the mean or not, the Celtics couldn't match their historic 21-for-40 performance from the field, including a 9-for-12 performance in the fourth quarter, from 3-point range.
In the third quarter, the Celtics had more turnovers than field goals. Boston coach Ime Udoka emptied his bench when the Celtics were trailing by 29 points.
The Warriors have always had a problem with turnovers, but Boston was the one that was most affected by them in the second game. Careless half-court passes were a problem for the Celtics in the first half. They had 18 turnovers in 96 possessions.
Game 2 will not be placed in the Warriors' time capsule. At times their offense appeared to be ordinary. Klay Thompson struggled for the second game in a row and the Warriors desperately need more scoring outside of Curry. There were a few noticeable breakdowns in Golden State's pick- and-roll coverage.
The Warriors' defense made the difference in the game. The Celtics didn't show up if the Warriors struggled with their accuracy at the rim. The Celtics only attempted six shots at the basket and drew three fouls there.
Gary Payton II was back for the Warriors and he was one of their best defensive players. He played 25 minutes and scored seven points without missing a shot.
The Warriors were able to avoid a disaster in San Francisco, but they have some work to do as they prepare to enter the hostile environs of the Boston Garden. Game 2 will not affect the Warriors' sleep, but there will be a lot of racket outside in Boston.
