Evander Kane was suspended for one game by the NHL Department of Player Safety for his actions.

The play happened in the third game of the Western Conference Final.

Kane was given a five minute penalty.

Kadri is out for the rest of the Western Conference Final because of an injury according to the Avs head coach.

Kadri had a cast on his wrist.

The best-of-seven series is tied at one game each after the Avs' 4-2 win over the Oilers on Saturday. The fourth game of the series will be held on Monday at 8 p.m. There is an hour and a half in the city ofEdmonton.

Kadri is a huge loss for the Avs. In 13 playoff games, he has six goals and eight assists. He assisted on the Avs' first three goals in their win over the Eskimos.

Replacing Kane will be difficult. In 43 games, the 30-year-old had 22 goals and 17 assists. His 13 goals in the playoffs are an NHL high.

The team's backs are against the wall. A comeback against the Western Conference's top seed is not likely. The question for the Avs is whether or not Kadri will be able to play in the Stanley Cup Final.
