The space opera produced by Scott is unique. It's intelligent and well-written, but also a dream to watch. It feels a bit like something from an older era. It explores not only the division between humans and Artificial Intelligence, but also the aftermath of a war that left Earth completely destroyed, as well as the differing beliefs of religious and non- religious people.
The Keppler-22b is a hostile plane that has acid oceans and terrifying monsters. The tale of shifting alliances, power struggles and humankind's last ditch effort to survive so far has been spun by the creator of the show. There is still a story to be told.
