I Am Groot animated series arrives on Disney Plus in August

Disney Plus will show I Am Groot on August 10. Vin Diesel reprises his role as the voice of Baby Groot in an animated series of shorts.

There is an official poster for the upcoming series that shows Baby Groot chilling out atop one of the Walkman headphones. He rests beside a palm tree-shaped air freshener that shows just how small he really is, with two small penguins looking out from behind. We haven't seen the two mischievous-looking creatures in any of the films, but it looks like they'll be in the new series.

The show is described by Disney as follows Baby Groot's glory days growing up and getting into trouble among the stars. We don't know if any otherGuardians will make an appearance in the show in an animated form or if it will focus on Groot.

Disney has several short series on its streaming service that follow beloved side characters that may not have gotten a lot of attention in the movies they appeared in. I am not saying that Disney doesn't milk the characters' likability, but I am not complaining either.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is scheduled to arrive on Disney Plus on August 17th. The live-action version of the holiday special will be exclusive to Disney Plus in December.
