Fans of older TV shows that used to run on MTV know that there are few things that can ruin the re-release of a beloved classic. The issues surrounding sketch comedy series The State are legendary, of course, but anyone who has noticed an icon missing from their re-watch of an old favorite can infer what a problem it is to update a short-lived broadcast licensing deal when it needs to expand out to being viewed.

Mike Judge's Beavis And Butt-Head broke up the title duo's idiot adventures by having them perform Mystery Science Theater 3000 duties on top of the music video.

It seems like those segments have been preserved as part of the show's re-release on Paramount+. It is part of a larger effort to use the show's brand for the benefit of the streaming service. The Beavis And Butt-Head music videos will be included in the re-releases of the more than 200 episodes of the show.

The old episodes will be arriving on the service the same day as Do The Universe. A new generation was exposed to the moron wisdom of Beavis and Butt-Head, the kind of earnest truth tellers who will never let you forget. Imagine losing such information to time.
