Max was bitten by his dog this week, but he says the wound won't slow his recovery.

The New York Post reported on Saturday that right-handed pitcher Max Scherzer was bitten by a dog on his left hand, a second bizarre injury for New York this week after Francisco Lindor broke his finger.

It was his pitching hand that got bitten by the dog, and he will be out until at least late June. His timetable for a return hasn't changed, he1-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-6556

There are a few things that need to be cleared up. Rafi hurt her leg while running. I put my hands on her so she wouldn't cry. She bit my hand. It was a good bite. I was able to long toss after taking a day off. This will not affect my rehabilitation.

In his first season with the New York Yankees, Max Scherzer is 6-1 with a 2.54 earned run average.

Lindor returned to the lineup Friday after missing the opener. Despite missing Jacob deGrom due to a shoulder injury, the Mets are still in first place in the NL East.
