A woman is in jail after shooting into a woman's home with children inside.

An incident on Thursday, May 2 resulted in multiple counts of criminal attempt first-degree murder, as well as other charges.

The Memphis Police Department was called to the 1100 block of Breedlove on May 2 after a woman reported that her three children were inside of their home.

According to an affidavit, the children said the suspect shot once into the floor and said he hoped to hit one of them.

He walked to the breezeway on the second floor and fired into the window.

The affidavit said that when investigators made the scene, they spoke to the children and the children gave a statement detailing the facts of the shooting and identified the person responsible for the shooting as a six person photo lineup.

After 10 a.m., investigators spoke with a witness who said she heard shots near her apartment.

According to reports, the witness said she heard a man say, "since I already got a charge on me, I might as well get another one today by killing you and your kids."

A witness gave a statement and was included in a six- person lineup.

A witness said she was inside her home the same night of the shooting and that she had a gun in her hand.

The witness said that she saw a glass bottle being thrown at the neighbor's car and that she kicked out the window.

The second witness gave a statement and investigators were able to use her as a witness.

The child gave a recorded statement after being brought in for questioning by the mother.

He is due in court on June 6 with no bond information.
