Blue Origin will soon be launching six space tourists on a suborbital trip to the edge of space. Technical issues caused the mission to be delayed last month. The launch will take place at Blue Origin's launch site one.

The six space tourists who will fly on the mission include an investor, a former NASA engineer, a pilot, and two entrepreneurs.

The goal of Echazarreta's shows is to increase representation of women and minorities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The Perseverance rover currently exploring Mars is one of the missions she worked on. She has a master's degree in electrical and computer engineering. She will become the first Mexican-born woman in space, and the youngest American in space to date, and her place on the mission was sponsored by a non profit organization.

She dedicated the flight to Mexico on social media.

How to watch the launch

The New Shepard flight will take tourists to the Karman line, which is one version of the boundary of space and is located at 100 kilometers above average sea level. The New Shepard rocket will carry a capsule that will separate from the booster around three minutes after liftoff and head to the boundary of space.
