We still don't know a thing about Jordan Peele's Nope. With The Black Phone coming from the same studio in the next few weeks, a new trailer should be on the way, but up until now information has been limited.
There is a new TV spot that has some very interesting footage. There is one shot that really stood out. When io9 saw a new trailer at CinemaCon in April, it featured something writer and director Jordan Peele asked attendees not to talk about. Thanks to the official Nope account, you can see it below. We think this is something to avoid if you want to stay out of the public eye.
The TV spot is similar to previous marketing. There are lots of strange things happening. There are people in the country. There is something in the sky There is a big silver flying saucer chasing a character outside. It is only there for a short time, but it is definitely there.
What is the question? Would the first reveal of Nope be in the marketing? There are a lot of interesting images in the film. It's possible that this is a vision. Do you mean a fantasy? Someone is telling a story and we watch it happen. For the Jordan Peele-ness of it all, you have to assume that this is some sort of misdirection. Maybe it is not. We don't know what this movie is about That should be revealed in a new trailer. If it is the one that screened at CinemaCon, the next trailer will layout the plot fairly directly, and build to the exact same shot that was shown here.
