New York Yankees left-handed pitcher Jim Kaat apologized on Friday for a comment made by the Minnesota Twins' play-by-play man the previous day.
During a Twins game broadcast, Kaat referred to Cortes as "Nestor the Molestor". He explained that during his time with New York, he became one of his favorite pitchers.

In a social media post Friday, he said that he wasn't offended by what Kaat said, and that he didn't mind what he said.
He wrote that Jim Kaat has been in the game for a long time. He didn't need to apologize to me because he reached out to me. We all make mistakes, but we don't think there was malice in them. I will be lifting him up with this message. Jim has no sweat here.
The Twins will handle it internally and privately.
Kaat apologized in October after he said teams should try to get a 40-acre field full of players who look like Yoan Moncada.
