The former Trump advisor said he was put in handcuffs and leg irons while being arrested after trying to board a flight.

According to court documents, Navarro was indicted on charges of contempt of Congress after repeatedly disobeying the orders of the House Committee.

The US Attorney's Office told NBC News that the man was taken into custody on Friday and remained there until he appeared in court on Saturday. He talked to reporters outside the federal courthouse about his arrest.

He urged people to buy his book to raise money for his legal defense fund.

The Capitol riot investigation led to the issuance of two subpoenas. He said he would lead the charge in subpoenaing current President Joe Biden, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, members of the January 6 committee and otherclowns if the Republicans win the presidential election.

In an interview with MSNBC, Navarro said that he would take all of the clowns. "I'll take Biden and every single senior staff member in there, I'll put them with subpoenas, and we'll start with the impeachment of Biden for the things he's done in the past."

The ex-Trump aide discussed his plan to overturn the election in order to delay the certification of Biden's victory.

The election would be thrown to the House of Representatives if states withdrew their certifications. Even though the House is controlled by Democrats, the way votes are counted in a presidential election would most likely go to Trump.
