Protestor
The incident happened during the sixth game of the third set of the semi-final between Casper Ruud and Marin Cilic

The French Open semi-finals were interrupted by a protester.

In the third set a woman knelt beside the net post and tied something around her neck.

The players were taken off the court while security dealt with the situation.

"It was frightening and I didn't know what was happening," said the eventual winner.

The players came back with the match level at one set all after a 15 minute delay.

A protester wearing a T-shirt in support of a group of climate change activists posted online that she was acting on their behalf.

The French tennis federation said that an environmental activist attached herself to the net with metal wires and glue after getting onto the court.

A young woman from France entered the grounds with a valid ticket early in the day. She was taken to the police.

The disruption had been a bit awkward, but the first Norwegian to reach a Grand Slam final won.

They couldn't get rid of her because she had tied herself up. I did not see the T-shirt and what she protested about.

It was challenging because we left the court and got back.
