"Lots of luck on his trip to the moon," shrugged Biden, throwing his hands up in the air after being asked about Musk's comments about the economy. According to recently released internal emails, Musk has a plan to cut 10 percent of the workforce.
Why would Musk want to do that? The current state of the economy made him feel bad.
While Biden's comment about the moon is getting a lot of attention, what the president said before was more critical of Musk. Biden shared plans from companies like Ford and IBM that are currently making further investments in the country after being presented with Musk's feelings on the economy.
The comments of Biden and Ford were pointed out.
Biden said that Ford is increasing their investment in electric vehicles. There are thousands of new employees in the Midwest.
The president's comments came a day after CNBC reported that a PR firm was hired to monitor employees on Facebook during the unionization push. Musk has opposed unions in the past.
Musk's space transportation company is planning to go to the moon in the future. It is part of a NASA funded program.

Musk included a link to NASA's announcement when it picked the company to land on the moon.
Musk might try to spin Biden's "trip to the moon" comment in his favor, but he doesn't have anything on Biden's comments about Ford's unionized workforce.
