Meta said in a post on Thursday that it is rolling out new creator tools for its competitor, Reels, on both Facebook andInstagram. The new tools will make it easier for creators to skip using TikTok to edit short clips and will help encourage people to create original content using Reels.

Users will be able to import their own audio from their reel video. 90-second videos are now supported by Reels, and it is adding interactivestickers that support polls, quizzes, and emoji. The pace of meme styles that spread virally can be sped up by the release of templates that allow users to replicate the same pattern of reel they have seen.

Facebook Reels is now available from the PC desktop and can be used to make and edit videos from a chair. It will be easier to test different formats with the help of the creator studio.

It will be possible for creators to cut clips from livestreams into 60 second clips. In addition to being available on desktop, Facebook Reels has a couple of new audio tools, including voiceovers for videos and a feature called Soundsync that will automatically sync videos to the beat of a song of someones choice. Text-to-speech is supported within videos.

Meta has a lot of features that mimic Tik Tok. Adam Mosseri, the company's CEO, said that the platform was no longer a square photo-sharingapp. It was obvious that work was needed to build a true competitor when Reels first became available on social media. Recently, the app began testing NFT support, a full-screen feed, and the removal of its recent tab from search results.
