Set your alarm.

For the first time in 18 years, five planets will be visible at sunrise.

Diana Hannikainen, Sky & Telescope's observing editor, told NPR that those who watch from the continental United States should be able to see it.

Hannikainen said that the five-planet alignment isn't rare. The last time these planets were lined up in chronological order was in 2004.

It is worth it if we get the chance to check it out in the morning.

She said that June will make it easier to seeMercury. The view is expected to be special. The waning crescent moon can be seen between Venus and Mars.

Hannikainen says to be at your viewing spot about 30 minutes before the sun rises. An ideal spot should have a good view of the horizon. She says that binoculars are important.

If you don't catch Mercury early on, don't be upset. The five planets may be out early in the month, but not to be too disappointed. It's a beautiful sight to see four planets.
